Who am I?
Ever since I was little, I have had a great love for animals. If family or friends needed someone to care for their animal, I was always happy to help. Cats, dogs, horses, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, canaries,... it doesn't matter to me.
I started riding horses when I was seven years old and I have always had a great interest in these animals. Because of my great love for animals, I chose to study agro- and biotechnology with a graduation option in animal care. Here my knowledge about all animals has broadened enormously. Every animal is unique and requires a different approach. I treat each animal according to its needs.

During my final internship at Amikoo, I noticed that training horses is really something for me. Here I learned to communicate with the horses in a gentle, but clear way. I started to observe and understand the horses better. During this internship I learned to deal with horses with trauma and problem behavior. The behavior these animals exhibit is often the cause of an underlying problem. It is therefore always first checked whether another/physical problem can be observed. I also learned a lot about dealing with young horses here.
After completing my agricultural and biotechnology training, I delved even further into the horse sector. I am following the annual training and instructor training at Light & Supple Horses. Topics covered include groundwork, horse balance, working in freedom, teaching, problem horses, and so on. I also regularly enjoy attending webinars, clinics, courses, etc. When working with animals, you never stop learning. I will continue to learn throughout my life and the animals themselves are my greatest teachers.

Responsible for the daily carecare of the horses. I prepared the horses for training, followed the training and eventually I also trained the horses myself. I prepared everything for the arrival of the farrier, veterinarian or osteopath. The horses that came here for training were horses with trauma, problem behavior, physical problems or young horses in preparation for saddle breaking.
